Haven't really been around for a bit so I am going to have to play catch-up.  Mostly because of concerns with the health of both of the huskies.  Been trying to clear up a UTI that Joey has had since April/June; responded well to antibiotics but the moment the round of medicine ended it came right back.  Bounced to a couple of different vets and the last one decided to check him out for potential underlying causes that might impair bladder function (spinal damage, tumor, bladder/kidney/prostate problems, etc.)  Clean bill of health across the board and he was put on a more targeted antibiotic that seems to be working very well.
As far as Nemo, a fatty tumor on his hip suddenly and rapidly began to grow.  Given that the boys are more relaxed together, his owner brought him along with me and kept getting 'second opinions.'  Most just wrote a prescription for pain pills, gave him till Christmas at the longest, and outlined the costs of putting him down.  Final vet (the one that ran the tests on Joey) actually said she could remove it.  After a consult with a surgical specialty vet, found out the tumor was not cancerous and the majority of it was fluid.  Looking at it being removed in the next 2 weeks and hoping the fur will be reasonably thickened up for winter.  Otherwise, he is going to have to be sporting some ass-less chaps to keep his shaved patch from getting cold/frostbitten.  Thinking that he will make a good biker for halloween.

On another front, cleaning up my place, replacing some worn out applianced, and considering a potential relocation.  Given that Joey will be staying with me full-time for a bit during/after Nemo's surgery just going to try and make his stay better than usual to distract him from his absent friend.
